HVAC Before & After in Miami, FL

Talk is cheap in this trade. A picture of a rusted-out condenser coil next to a clean, properly installed replacement tells you more in five seconds than a sales pitch ever will. We keep this gallery current with real jobs from our own techs, not stock photography pulled off a website. What changed, why it needed changing, and what it cost. That’s the whole point.

AC Repair: Condenser Fan Motor Failure in Coconut Grove

Before: Condenser fan motor seized, unit running hot, compressor cycling off on thermal overload.
After: New fan motor and capacitor installed, refrigerant pressures verified, airflow restored to spec.
Placeholder: AC condenser unit before and after fan motor replacement

The homeowner heard a loud hum outside and noticed the AC blowing warm air by late afternoon. Our tech found the condenser fan motor had locked up, which was tripping the compressor’s internal thermal protection. We replaced the motor and capacitor, checked the refrigerant charge, and ran a full system cycle. Total repair came to $320, written in advance, backed in writing for a full year under our 365-Day Done Right Promise. If that fan motor fails again inside 365 days, we come back at no charge.

Heat Pump Installation: Replacing a 20-Year-Old R-22 System in Kendall

Before: 2004 Rheem heat pump, R-22 refrigerant, corroded coil fins, failing compressor.
After: New 4-ton Daikin heat pump with matching air handler, new pad, new lineset, new thermostat.
Placeholder: Old heat pump removed, new Daikin heat pump installed on composite pad

The old unit had been leaking refrigerant for two summers. R-22 is phased out, which means recharging it gets more expensive every year, and this system was on borrowed time anyway. We pulled the entire system, installed a new Daikin heat pump with a matching air handler, and relocated the condenser off the ground onto a level composite pad. The homeowner’s electric bill dropped noticeably from day one, and the new system carries a manufacturer warranty plus our installation workmanship guarantee.

Furnace Repair: Bad Heat Exchanger in a Coral Gables Condo

Before: Cracked heat exchanger on a Bryant furnace, standing pilot, intermittent rollout.
After: New heat exchanger assembly, burner cleanup, carbon monoxide test passed.
Placeholder: Bryant furnace heat exchanger before and after replacement

A cracked heat exchanger is not a parts-swap job. It is the component that separates combustion gases from the air you breathe, and a crack there can put carbon monoxide into living space. That’s the kind of repair we do not patch or defer. We replaced the heat exchanger assembly on this Bryant furnace, cleaned the burners, checked gas pressure at the manifold, and ran a combustion test to confirm no CO in the supply air. The job took one day, the price was in writing before we ordered the part, and the repair is guaranteed in writing for a full year from the date of service.

AC Repair: Refrigerant Recharge and Leak Search in Doral

Before: Low refrigerant charge, frozen evaporator coil, AC running but not cooling.
After: Leak located at the Schrader valve, repaired, system evacuated and recharged to manufacturer spec.
Placeholder: Frozen evaporator coil before repair, coil thawed and charged after

The call came in as “AC is running but the house won’t get below 80.” That is a classic low-charge symptom. Our tech found the evaporator coil frozen solid, let it thaw, then pressurized the system with nitrogen to find the leak. It was a bad Schrader valve core, a $12 part, but finding it required the right tools and patience. We repaired the valve, pulled a vacuum, and recharged the system to the manufacturer’s spec by weight, not by guess. A refrigerant recharge, topping off the cooling fluid your system needs to reach set temperature, was $260 all in, and that price was on paper before we touched the system.

Heat Pump Installation: Ducted Mini-Split Retrofit in an Older Fontainbleau Home

Before: Window units in three rooms, no central air, uneven cooling in a 1970s block home.
After: Daikin ducted mini-split system with two zones, wireless thermostats, dedicated returns.
Placeholder: Window unit removal, ducted mini-split install in attic space

Older Miami homes built without central air often rely on window units that are loud, inefficient, and frankly ugly. We installed a ducted mini-split system, which means the condenser sits outside, slim air handlers live in the attic, and only small grilles are visible in the ceiling. Two zones let the homeowners cool bedrooms at night without paying to cool the whole house all day. This is not a one-day job. It is load-calculated, ordered, and scheduled, and the homeowner got a written fixed price with a set install date, plus all rebate paperwork handled before we pulled a single permit.

Furnace Repair: Ignitor and Flame Sensor in North Miami

Before: Furnace short cycling, ignitor glowing but burners not lighting, dirty flame sensor.
After: New ignitor, cleaned flame sensor, burners lighting reliably on first attempt.
Placeholder: Furnace burner assembly before cleaning, burners lighting after ignitor replacement

This one was a classic short-cycle problem. The burners would fire, then cut out after a few seconds, and the furnace would try again. The ignitor was original to the unit and on its way out. The flame sensor was coated with carbon buildup, which was telling the control board the flame wasn’t lit when it was. We replaced the ignitor and cleaned the flame sensor to bare metal, then cycled the unit ten times to confirm it lights on the first attempt every time. The repair ran $185, and it is guaranteed in writing for a full year. If it fails in that time, we return at no charge. That is The Garrison Standard, not an add-on.

Every job above had three things in common: a written price before any work started, a written guarantee on the repair, and a background-checked, uniformed tech who showed up inside the stated window. That’s how we run every call, whether it’s a $12 valve core or a full heat pump install. Call (850) 754-6042 and a live person answers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No voicemail queue, no callback window.
