We’re a local Miami crew, not a rotating cast of subcontractors. The technicians who show up at your door are the same people who answer the phone, run the calls, and stand behind the work a year later. Every one of us carries a Florida HVAC license, passes a background check before ever stepping into a home, and trains on all nine major residential brands: Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Daikin, Bryant, and American Standard. We live in Miami. We know what salt air does to condenser coils and what August humidity does to a heat pump working overtime. That’s the team you get.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Marco Benitez, Owner
Marco founded Dalton Heating & Air Miami in 2003 and still rides along on installs when a job gets complicated. He started as a service tech working on aging Carrier units in Coral Gables and Little Havana, and he’s kept his EPA 608 certification current ever since. The Garrison Standard is his language: written price before any work starts, written guarantee on every repair, and a free return visit if the repair fails within the year. Marco writes the way he talks on a job site: short sentences, real numbers, no filler. Ask him what a TXV does and he’ll walk you through it, because that’s the valve controlling refrigerant flow into your evaporator coil. If you’re lucky, he’ll throw in a dry one-liner about Miami traffic while he’s at it.
Denise R., Service Coordinator
Denise has been with Dalton Heating & Air Miami for eight years, and she’s the reason a real person answers the phone at 2 a.m. when your AC dies in July. She’s a Miami native who learned the trade’s dispatch side working for a plumbing outfit in Hialeah, then moved to HVAC because she liked the pace. Denise is NATE-certified in customer service, which means she can tell you whether that rattling sound is worth a service call before she books the appointment. Her one human detail: she keeps a spreadsheet of every dog she’s met on every call, and she will remember your dog’s name before she remembers yours.
Tony P., Lead Technician
Tony is our lead service tech, and he’s been turning wrenches for 15 years, the last six of them at Dalton Heating & Air Miami. He’s EPA 608 universal certified and factory-trained on Trane, Lennox, and Goodman systems, though he’ll service all nine brands we carry. If you have a furnace acting up in the middle of a Miami cold snap, Tony’s the one who figures out it’s a $180 flame sensor, not a $1,200 control board. He’s the guy who tells you the truth even when it costs him an upsell. In Coral Gables, we see a lot of rusted drain pans from old units; Tony keeps a spare pan fitting in the truck because he got tired of running back to the shop. His dry one-liner: “The coil’s not dirty, it’s just been marinating.”
Jasmine L., Senior Installer
Jasmine leads our heat pump installation crew and has been hanging units in Miami since 2011. She’s EPA 608 certified and holds a specialty in ductless mini-split installs, which comes in handy across older Miami neighborhoods where ductwork is tight. Jasmine is the one who catches a bad line set before it becomes a refrigerant leak six months later. She grew up in Homestead, and her pet peeve is an installer who leaves the job site looking like a hurricane hit it. Every install she runs ends with a clean sweep and a written walk-through of what was done and why. Ask her about the time a customer’s cat crawled into a return duct in Kendall. She has opinions.
Eddie M., Apprentice
Eddie joined Dalton Heating & Air Miami two years ago through a trade school in Doral, and he’s working toward his EPA 608 card under Tony and Jasmine. He’s the guy who fetches the condenser coil from the truck, preps the line set, and learns by standing close and asking questions. Eddie’s previous life was in restaurant kitchens, which is why he treats every crawl space like a health inspection: clean work, clean hands, clean site. He’s young, fast, and still learning when to hush and listen. Marco says Eddie will be running his own service calls by next spring. Eddie says he’s already practicing his one-liners.
One Standard, Every Job
Every Dalton Heating & Air Miami tech works under The Garrison Code. That’s five rules, non-negotiable: arrive inside the stated window, price in writing before starting, do the job by the book, leave the site clean, and stand behind the work for a full year. We don’t send a different crew for the estimate than the one who does the work. We don’t charge overtime for late-night calls. We don’t skip a startup test because the customer is watching. The 365-Day Done Right Promise isn’t a marketing line; it means if the repair fails within one year, we return at no charge. Denise will book the return call. Tony or Jasmine will come back. Marco will make sure it’s right. That’s how a Garrison Partners company holds a standard across Florida, and that’s how the Miami team earns the next call.
